Day 286 of my ‘A Photo A Day’ project.
The weather has been so strange recently, one minute tipping down with rain and hail, the next bright sunshine and blue skies… I guess April really is living up to it’s reputation! After a heavy downpour today, the sun came out and dried up the ground. I went outside with my camera and decided to take some photos of this yellow flowering plant in our garden pond. I sat down on the stones surrounding it and snapped away for 15 minutes or so in the warm sunshine. When I stood up I realised I had been sat in a patch of moss which was still soaking wet… not the best idea! Also, until today I had no idea what this plant was, and yet again my project has taught me something I didn’t know… this is a Marsh Marigold, or Kingcup!
