Day 67 of my ‘A Photo A Day’ project.
This is a fern my the pond in our garden. I only happened to take this on the off chance, but I’m really pleased with how it turned out. I love the light yellow veins on the leaves as the sunlight illuminates them. If you look closely at the photo, you can actually see the leaves sparkling, almost like glitter. The other really interesting thing that I learnt when taking this photo, is that those dark little spots under the leaves aren’t actually insects eggs (which I always thought they were). Infact, they are spores, which is how the plant reproduces.
