I’m not ovely good in expressing myself with words, which is probably why I love my camera and designing things instead. That said, I thought I should probably write a journal entry on the completion of my ‘A Photo A Day’ project.
It’s hard to believe that a whole year has passed, a leap year as well. I have managed to take at least one photo every single day, which when I first set out, wasn’t sure I’d be able to do. The past year has been life changing and has made me realise just how much I love photography, and life itself. Not only have I seen the beauty in the everyday world, but also how short a year of our life really is.
Even though my project has now finished and I no longer have to take a photo everyday, I have left my camera in the same spot on my desk that it has been for the past 366 days. I will no longer put it away in it’s case and it will no longer collect dust. I will certainly continue to photograph the items right under my nose that I have come to recognise and love over the past year… everything from flowers and cat paws to pencils and apples.
The most important thing I want to say in this journal entry however, is a big thank you. I cannot thank everyone enough for their support and kindness over the past year. All the features, favourites, and individual comments have made this project so worthwhile, so thank you!
People always talk about how ugly the world can be, but it’s important to remember that it’s a far more beautiful place then we often give it credit for, you just have to open your eyes and pay attention.
This isn’t the end, this is just the beginning…
