African Elephant, treated in Photoshop
Taken in Shimba Hills, Kenya
Whilst on Safari in Kenya we stopped to watch this African Elephant. It appeared to become agitated and started flapping its ears and moving toward us. Our guide did’nt seem concerned, but I was very relieved when he backed off. Taken in Shimba Hills National Park,Kenya.

Thanks Dennis. I really like this style, hopefully I can master it oneday. I am going to Colorado in June so should have alot of new shots after that. Also doing a friends wedding in July, so really nervous about that.

Might be a first start, but it’s bloody effective! Striking stuff Pete!
Thankyou Nic, I have to give credit to Natalie Manuel, who hosts animal portraits. She explains the technique on her website, which is very generous of her. One of my favourite photographers, Marina Cano, is an excellent nature photographer and is a master of this style.
