Conwy Castle Suspension Bridge
This shows the recently restored Telford Suspension Bridge leading to Conwy Castle in North Wales.
The bridge, which was opened in 1826 and is in the shadow of the town’s castle, was part of Telford’s plans for a highway between Chester and Holyhead. Up until 1958, the bridge was the main road bridge into Conwy.
Telford’s creations – the Menai and Conwy suspension bridges and the aqueducts of Chirk and Pontcysyllte – are credited with transforming life in north Wales.
Conwy Castle Suspension Bridge belongs to the following groups:
Bridges, Castle Magic, HDR Photography, My Neighborhood and Wales, Rich in BeautyAvailable for sale as Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

Didn’t want to believe the thumbnail. Thought it was out of a book, or Nintendo game or something. Until I saw the buildings on the right and only then read your explanation.
Certainly won’t find anything like this in or near our Menai, here in southern Sydney!

Exquisite detail in this stunning atmospheric piece that feels like the viewer is entering a magical world that lies over the bridge. I love the intimacy of this piece as if I am part of the experience rather than observing it. Outstanding work!!
