Beautiful study of a beautiful instrument. I met a cellist recently whose axe is 180 years old. She said it was the only one she could find that suited her. I asked her if she plucked, she said she loved doing it. That’s one of the marks of a good cellist.

  • Thank you for your kind thoughts and also sharing in your friend’s cello being 180 yrs young!! Instruments can find you at times and not the other way around.. this cello ‘picked’ her! :)

You must be a fabulous musician Patricia I can just imagine you playing this beauty.

  • Thank you Renate for your kind inference – i’m a beginner.. what i lack in skill i more than make up for in enthusiasm.. i hope i can play decently one day. This violin is gorgeous in looks and in sound.

This is indeed a beautiful image of your violin…I can see why you love it.
Why didn’t I think to ask about your violins during my visit? I am kicking myself!!

  • Hi Sandra, thank you so much.
Don’t feel at all bad about not asking after the violins when you were here.. we had so many other important things to chat about.. i’m sure they were not offended -(big smile).
Hope you are keeping warm for it is cold down there!
