Coco Kiss
A Tribute to her Life

I had just lost my sweet girl Coco
from pneumonia as a result of catching cat flu.
I was devastated, as she was my constant companion here at home.

I felt it necessary as part of my grieving process to complete this Graphite portrait of us which is from a last photo that was taken a few months before she died.

She came to me as a stray on ‘deaths door’ 3 years ago… and since then we had been inseparable.

A year on …I miss her as much as I did the day I lost her.

Coco…you will never be forgotten.

    Oh My Gosh!!!

It’s hard to lose a Soul Mate. I am sure that she came at a pertinent time in your life and although it’s difficult to understand, she fulfilled her sweet little mission. You’re very lucky to have had such a wonderful companion. I love this x

  • Thanking you so much Steph…what a sweetie you are, having stopped by to have a look at my little girl…for that she was!
I was very lucky to know this sweet heart… and I have to believe she is still here in spirit… this is a special picture that was truly a labour of love for her.

She found me… and i helped her and together we loved each other!
    X

Wonderful graphite work!! These animals are our little friends, and we feel like apart of us has been torn away, when they go. Only 3 years with you, but precious time.
This will be a beautiful reminder for you.

    Cordiali saluti uno simpatia,
    Colin.

  • Hi Colin, thank you for your kind words here. We had little time but we loved each other a life times worth! Grazie tanto delle belle parole. Coco left me with great gifts, and she is still very much a part of my life… her little spirit never leaves me.
    Un caro saluto,
    Patricia

Awwww :) This is gorgeous!! I was looking thru your portfolio for your Avatar photo … that looks gorgeous too :) :)

  • Craig…i had a good read of your blog…and i don’t know where to start to comment for your beautiful Jordy…i know how these creatures capture our soul and our heart, and how hard it is to lose them…i had to shelter my tears as i read, as i was with others at the time…i can see how much you adore your Jordy and i know your pain. I do not have children and these furry bundles of love…especially my sweet Coco…are my children…and i love them.
I miss my sweet girl everyday. I have dedicated a blog to her also…
I tried all i could to save her and i understand only too well the enormous vet bills that go towards trying to do this ( and we do it without hesitation because really at the end of the day that stuff works itself out) unfortunately no amount of love or money or vet expertise could save my precious girl… i know in my heart the burden you face with your little one and i have prayed for him and for you every night since reading his story. It is so wonderful that you commented here tonight and added me to your watchlist.
It was a few weeks ago that i met with Martin one of the co-founders of Redbubble while he was here in Sydney…and i had mentioned that Redbubble was more of a support group for me than a sight where i sold my stuff…and with my Coco and Buffy i have found like minded people who care just as deeply as i do about their pets…some people just don’t understand this special bond and cannot begin to fathom it. Through here i have found support…and i know you have also. Martin did post up a piece about Redbubble where Jordy was mentioned and it was then that i had this incredible moment realising…this is indeed a special place.
(((HUGS))) to you and to Jordy please, and let him know that there a many people pulling for him…including me!
