____
_in the movement of tall dry grass
as leaves fall from trees
in the dust as it fills the air
it whispers as it passes you by
you will know i am here
for you will breathe my breath
look into my eyes
open for a short while
and you will see the movement
sweeping over plains
shifting sand

leaving this place

will you know i was here?_

With the acccompanying poetry, this is a perfect combination of two artistic expressions that come from the soul and speak to the soul.

  • PERUGINA replied

Thank you Christiane for your kind thoughts on both painting and poetry, and for your support here in the bubble as well as on the blog.

Thank you Mary – every body will see something different and have a different emotional response to a painting – this is the beauty of art. Always great to get feedback – yours is much appreciated!

Love this the eyes are fantastic.

  • PERUGINA replied

Thank you Renate – i am getting closer to achieving some realism with painting eyes.. not quite there yet, however your comment leaves me encouraged with it going in the right direction.

I love this series! I love the focus on the eyes, the limited colour and the looseness.
    Great work Patricia!

  • PERUGINA replied

Thank you Sandra – this is a cropped version of the first full face painting. I wanted to do this for effect – all three paintings here are the same painting but cropped closer to focus as you say on the eyes. I like the third version – it lends itself beautifully to the landscape orientation best and like the format as a card.
Thank you for your kind thoughts and continued support.
