Such a dramatic expression of disappointment, I think…

Wow…....this face emerging from the dark. Very dramatic composition.

It’s not a disappointing shot. This is excellent. Well done.

Perhaps I should have clarified in the description that the face, to me, reflected a disappointing feeling… ;-) thanks for your comments and btw – I LOVE your work!

I knew it was the face you were referring. Sorry, my way with words. I tend to say one thing and mean more than one. Just love to see my friends thinking twice before they answer what I just said. Love this shot a lot. Well done.

he doesn’t look happy. wonder if you could change that a bit by lighting it in a different way, you know shadows in other directions. very dramatic picture.

Thanks for your comment, Georgiana… I was going for an expression of disappointment, which is not a happy look. That’s why the light is coming from this angle, but yes, with the use of shadows and directional lighting, many different expressions can be brought out…

I think he’s more disproving of something, which is quite similar to disappointed, when you think about it, but not quite the same thing. Or maybe a little of both. Kind of like a parent who’s caught their kid sneaking in late or some equally grevious offense, but then apply it to God, humankind, and something more serious.

That’s pretty deep… I sometime imagine a caption-bubble over his head reading, “Here we go again…” – as his eyes seem to roll to the back of his head… ;-) Thanks for the comment, Julie – much appreciated!
