Trouble in Chesstown

The idea for this picture came from the Chesstown project I am doodling on every now and then.
It was first sketched with pencil and paper,and then scanned.
I played around with this design for days before I was satisfied.
And I didn’t really get there before I decided to use the sketch of an old ship I did long time ago. The sketch was applied without further refinement (read: inking ore /and color), so it’s just the old sketch really.
I used both Photoshop and Illustrator to get what I was after here on this one.
The motive has been for sale as posters and cards for a while, and now I introduce the tee.
