i have little heads like these on one of my shirt designs but i think i like what you did with your little heads. you gave them more expressions than i did with mine.

That’s just awesome dendoo, it proves that different people have the same ideas independently, but often at the same time. Just like when the wheel ore the use of fire was discovered, it happened different places on the planet in more ore less the same time span.

But I was never satisfied, and decided to elaborate some more on the idea as soon as I could come up with something to ad, that would give the idea more wings to fly so to say.
Ore to put it another way, it is important to me that my art evokes as many different interpretations as there are people experiencing the picture …. if possible.
Peoples interpretations very much depends on experiences they have had in their past, with the different elements in the picture they are viewing.
So the new setting I have created for the “Getaway”, is my idea of a more thought provoking situation.
I would love to see your take on the idea “dendoo”

hey, i was really nervous when i wrote my first comment cause i didn’t want it to come across as if i were accusing you of stealing my idea. i went to texas once traveling from arkansas and saw a girl wearing a shirt she had made that looked exactly like a drawing i had made that morning in my sketchbook during the car drive…extremely freaking but it’s true, artists have similar ideas miles apart.

this is the version of the shirt that i put on rb. the original head, the little sad one with the wing, was actually drawn about 3 years ago at work. it was supposed to be a guardian angel for this virgin maiden who was about to be married off to her uncle…yeah ew.

i don’t know if you saw the shirt already but there it is.

Your idea dendoo, was of course better then mine.
I also love the execution. The hand drawn feel gives it a most excellent quality.
No stolen ideas here, as far as I can see. Another thing is that one can always pay homage ore be inspired by without copying.
But I find it most amusing that you and I had the same element in our idea string, without knowing about each other. That’s Just super cool as fare as I’m concerned :)
But I must confess that it is now so long ago since I had the idea originally, that I can’t seam to recall how I got it.
Good thing you remember yours, maybe I can borrow it to prevent people from figuring me out (brain full of holes).... ;)

Wow, this is just amazing design. I totally understand what you are saying about art coming from somewhere deep in the subconscious mind. We have this innate urge to release images from our thoughts because these are expression and I believe a sense of relief felt after the art has been expressed. Thanks for your design – it looks incredible!
