Evolution or Recycling?
So as you guys have seen, I love to doodle… and much of my art has it’s origins in my inky drawings which I scan into photoshop for transformation. They form part of my digital scrap book of potential ingredients for my art (along with a huge bunch of my random photos, textures, bits n pieces of color and shapes)
It always surprises me how different the destination can be from the same starting place. I wonder if the drawings evolve in various ways, or if they are old ideas being recycled into something new. (Not that it matters, I’m having fun!)
Here’s an example of what I mean…
One of my personal fave sketchy-doodles:
Which has evolved into all of these…
6-way
double eye
tower
phoenix of summer
gallop
bird’s eye view t-shirt

Thanks my friend!
Isn’t the bottom one a galloping horse? ...of course it’s whatever the viewer sees, although my partner’s last name is Bull, I wonder if a little subconscious whatsit-ing has occurred!

Evolution versus Recycling…. hmmmmmm. In this world of ours, a closed system, for anything to evolve really requires recycling. Bits of our very bodies are composed of atomic and sub atomic particles that may well have been part of cleopatra, ancient sabretoothed tigers, wiggly creatures with five legs and no nose, volcanic rock and so forth. All water is recycled (by evaporation and then rain). So I think either term is appropriate so long as you also include the words “superb” and “art”!

Of course you’re absolutely spot on – they amount to the same thing, I guess in common language it’s considered that evolution takes generations, while recycling takes … oooh, don’t know, but considerably less time!
Particularly like your final observation! ;o)
Bless you my friend!

LOL. It’s an ongoing argument here ….. People don’t want recycled water. The trouble is that’s the only kind the earth has!
PS. Your ‘doodles’ are exquisite.
