There are many people in the world.
They all live in different places.
All of these people are animals, and yet there are also other animals in the world which are not people.
These other non-people animals also live in different places (in relevance to each other, and to the people-animals); some in trees, some in caves, some in the soil and some even underneath the surface of the ocean.
The people-animals generally find it very difficult to communicate with the non-people animals as the latter never got evolved enough to invent a wheel or discover fire (except, of course, for the dragon, but the people-animals killed it off because it had far too much fire for them to be comfortable with), and thusly suffer the insufferable disdain of the people-animals.
Because of this, the people-animals generally do not really regard the non-people animals as useful co-occupants of the planet, and either use them for food or scientific research, or food in the guise of scientific research.
Now, some of these people believe in things. Other people don’t believe in things. This generally starts wars. However, it’s not really quite as simple as that (although it almost very, very nearly is), because the people who believe things don’t always believe the same things that other people of their particular grouping believe in. And the people who don’t believe in things don’t necessarily not believe in the same things that the other non-believing people don’t believe in.
A good example of this can be found in the war-making disagreement of those people who believe that they evolved from a state of non-people-animal/wheel/fire period of existence, and those that believe that they were designed intelligently by some other non-people-animal kind of being which presumably has far more advanced wheel and fire making kinds of skills.
So it could be said that while both kinds of people believe things, they both belong in part to a group which don’t believe things, and a group which do believe things. It just so happens that these things happen to be different things, and trying to define what those different things are, generally, starts wars.
And then there are also people who DO things, and people who don’t do things. And the people who don’t do things get pretty annoyed by all of the things which the people who do do things are doing, probably because it makes them feel insecure because they’re not really doing anything. This doesn’t really start wars, but it usually starts genocide.
As far as I can see, this pretty much sums up everyone on the planet. Oh wait, there’s also one last group – the people who buy things and the people who sell things. These people get along great.
