Thank you for all your comments on my work , i am still very much working on watercolour , its a funny medium , somedays it will work and others you just have to start again …..the foal by the way was born to an Anglo Arab but I think the father was an Irish Draught…..I used to have a part Hanovarian/Irish Draught , but he was piebald ? never did work that one out as I bought him from a dealer at 5 mnths old , will find some pics for you …........what horse do you have ?
Do you draw with solid graphite to get the dark colour , its very photogenic.
I am really a frustrated artist at heart and easily get down when things dont go right , trying to market myself at the moment , have sold a couple but not enough to make a living , how about yourself ?

Thanks for your reply! I have two horses-one is a standardbred mare, and the other is a stockhorse/quarterhorse. As for what I draw with, I use plain old derwent graphite pencils. Getting frustrated??? Don’t I know your anguish! There are days when I just stare at a blank piece of paper, getting angry at myself because I have a million things I want to draw, but nothing’s coming out! I have never tried to sell my art before…most of the time I give it away to friends etc.
