New Year’s Eve 2010 midnight – Full Moon + unidentified small blue moon/reflection!!
Surrey, Uk Canon 50 D Lens 17-85mm
Eclipses of the moon occur twice a year, on average. Each eclipse is visible only on the half of the Earth turned towards the moon.
There was a partial eclipse of the moon on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31st 2009.
The event will also mark the second full moon of the month, making it a ‘blue moon’. The partial eclipse took place from 6.15pm to 10.30pm.
This photo was taken at midnight.
