Penelope grew up in a glass house nestled in the New Zealand bush, a living camera.
A childhood amongst the trees, and a neighbourhood without fences, the sights and sounds of nature were a part of everyday life – the inspiration for my work today.
While travel cemented my love of photography, successful completion of a four year technical photographic diploma course provided me with the skills and knowledge to grow and develop my own style, an ever evolving process.
My primary areas of interest are landscape, architecture and the arts. My images reflect the beautiful countryside of the NSW mid north coast in Australia, the inspirational work of local and national artists, and the creative profession of architecture where the skilful use of design, shape and colour combine to provide us with living environments.
Photography fills me with joy, providing quiet, peace and tranquillity, enabling me to be “in the moment”, as the stresses of the world swirl around. I hope my images transmit these moments in the – oft whimsical – images I create.
