    Not familiar with that beast, but we have on called Goat’s Head that eats bicylcle tires around here.

    i think a bike tyre would do more damage to the poor little critter than it would do to the tyre !!
    they may look like you wouldn’t like to step on one, but really they’re very soft and squishy and quite small too :)

    Goat Head is a hard little seed head well designed to lay with a point straight up. When I saw your image, I had flash backs of the twenty patches I used on my son’s bike, our first month here.

    we call that caltrop – very nasty stuff !! we also have the dreaded doublegee
    There is a school in my home town that has a doublegee festival and the kids used to collect doublegees and sell them as mountain devil “eggs” as a way to raise money for the school LOL
