About the Artist
Gordon Pegler was born in San Diego California where, fortunately, his mother recognized his talent at an early age so that, through her encouragement, his career was well launched by the age of 10.
When, as a lad of 10, he moved to the Pikes Peak region of Colorado, he promptly fell deeply and permanently in love with the Rocky Mountains. That love would permeate his work from then on regardless of the medium: pen and ink, watercolor, pastel chalk, acrylic, charcoal, or glass etchings.
It was only in 1973 that Gordon began his professional career as an artist. Already he has over 2000 paintings in private collections across-the nation, and around the world, including some in Germany, Japan, England, and Mexico. Three past U.S. Presidents own his paintings.
From time to time, he has been commissioned to paint murals in various churches, banks, and office buildings. Gordon has etched the windows on several automobiles, as well.
Gordon has captivated audiences for the last 20 years with his live illustration of biblical truths using chalk and black light. Gordon has also taught art classes for the last 15 years.
