Asarai lent over the branch and scanned the clearing looking for possible dangers but it was calm, peaceful and, to a humans ear, it would seem silent but not Asarai’s. She heard every thing from the quite cracking of the chicks – three branches above her – breaking free from their cage-like eggs, to the family of field mice working hard thirty feet below her, preparing for the seemingly endles…
