Taken with a Nikon D60 and a Sigma Macro lens.I took this at my partner Penny’s house and it’s my first attempt at macro photography. This spider was just minding his own business in amongst the bottlebrush stems.

I have NEVER seen this type of spider! Fabulous photo – congrats on the feature. Where do you live? Is this a US species or from somewhere outside of here? How large is the spider? It looks quite large, but it is a macro shot, so. . .

    Once again, congrats!

  • Hi Paula, i live in Port Macquarie Australia. It has been identified by someone on RB as a Tetragnatha. Asfor the size 3-4 inches including legs. Thanks for the kind words, sorry took so long to reply but have been away with no access to internet. Cheers
