-The original quick sketch was done from a photo using a grid on a layer.

-I laid down some background color,

- then started laying in flat colors.

- Started using different brushes to create the fur and decided to fake DOF by quickly creating “bokeh” in the background.

- Balanced the Hue and Tone of the image as well as continued detailing the mouth, which is really the focus of the piece.

- Finishing touches and signature …all of the detail really occurs in the mouth, the rest is fairly loose..This was just an exercise because I was bored with a current project and I seriously needed a distraction.

It has left little time or energy for some of my more time consuming creative endeavors, sculpture,3D Modelling, illustration and film making, especially when balancing a family.
