Eilean Donnan ( the Isle of Donnan ) Castle, was being used as a Jacobite stronghold during an uprising against England in the early part of 18th century, when it was captured and destroyed by the Royal Navy.
After sitting in ruin for nearly 200 years, the property was purchased by Lieutenant Colonel John MacRae-Gilstrap who proceeded to restore the castle to it’s former glory. In 1932 , after 20 years of effort and hard work the castle was reopened and is still owned by the MacRae family. It is also the most photographed castle in Great Britain.I have been an Art Director in the Video Games industry for almost 15 years. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s a lot more work than most people realize. The hours are long and the responsibilities are many. It has left little time or energy for some of my more time consuming creative endeavors, sculpture,3D Modelling, illustration and film making, especially when balancing a family.

Another breath taking panorama. So good, Peyton. You really know how to use and lift color.
Thank you for all of the comments Frannie. Scotland was absolutely beautiful and i can’t tell you how many times I slammed on the brakes, pulled over and started taking pictures. I deffinately made the most out of the 3 days I had, but I would have taken a month if I could get it. Thanks again.
