“Those that ride on chariots, and those that have no chariots, those that are mounted, and those that are not mounted, all those, after they have been slain, vultures and strong-winged hawks shall devour!” -Atharva Veda

This was done as a photo manipulation exercise. I wanted to see how fast I could gather the images and finish the piece to a reasonable quality. The time was roughly 5-6 hours using 4-5 stock photos and 2 of my own.

The original image was done at 11,000 × 5,500.
I used Topaz re-mask to pull all the elements from their original source. I placed and color balanced the elements in Photoshop, then finished in topaz adjust to bring it all together.

Photoshop CS4

Will list out the individual stock source over the next few days.

I have been an Art Director in the Video Games industry for almost 15 years. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s a lot more work than most people realize. The hours are long and the responsibilities are many. It has left little time or energy for some of my more time consuming creative endeavors, sculpture,3D Modelling, illustration and film making, especially when balancing a family.

Thank you for the comment Linda, there was a bit of “massaging” as well, but it’s hard to document that. Like a recipe that says “sprinkle to taste”.

    Thanks again
