Little Boys and Pet Tigers by Peyton Duncan

This is a portrait of my son and his tiger. It is based on a dream he has, where his toys attack him and his tiger rescues him.
Obviously it is also an om-age to “Calvin and Hobbes”…truthfully I have alway been an avid fan, so when my son was born, the first gift he received was a “Tiger Pillow” and now he falls asleep each night after reading from some of the many “Calvin and Hobbes” books I have collected over the years.

I have been an Art Director in the Video Games industry for almost 15 years. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s a lot more work than most people realize. The hours are long and the responsibilities are many. It has left little time or energy for some of my more time consuming creative endeavors, sculpture,3D Modelling, illustration and film making, especially when balancing a family.

If all of the children could have some kind heart reading to them a story of Life, each night…their dreams would be so “magic” as this one. You are the tiger in his dreams….the sustaining, brave and protecting soul that any child needs.Love your work so much…

Rosa thank you so much for the kind words- Before having kids of my own I never realized how much you could learn and be reminded of ,by a 5 year old.
