SoJie 18, August 2012
A sand landscape from the Dahna Dunes 200 kilometres from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. I produced this shot as part of SoJie 16 however was unable to complete it until after I returned home to Brisbane.
The original shot was dull and lifeless as it was taken in the middle of the day in 120+ degree heat (around 50C) with a dull grey sky. I have used PS to work on the colour of the sand and the sky so it has been heavily modified. This is what I prefer to see…. and that lead to the title. What I saw was dull and lifeless and extremely hot. What I dreamed was warm and inviting and beautiful!
