Near my new home there is a man made Osprey nest perched atop a telegraph pole and in it there is a beautiful pair of birds raising a new family.
As I approached the ‘boss’ flew away to distract me but Mum stayed nearby. She looked nervous but watched me closely. I whistled and she whistled back and so we had a whistling conversation for perhaps 10 minutes… what was I saying? I have no idea but it retained the birds interest and I managed to gain a few pictures with the afternoon sun shining on this most beautiful bird! It is shown here on the top perch of the nest…
