Last summer, one saturday at the West Tisbury Farm Market on Martha’s Vineyard, an elder man saw me with my canon and came right up, all excited about his new EOS 5D, which he was struggling with mightily. We shot together that morning, pointers flying for ideas.

Canon EOS 1DS Mark III
1/300 sec
f/8 ISO 160
focal length 24mm
24-105mm glass
hand held

Just a retired old guy who loves looking for an eclectic mix of subjects to photograph, from people, to places, to concepts, and enjoys all aspects of the hunt, the find, and the shot, plus dabbling in the post production.

it was a nice turn of events. I often wonder how he’s doing with that camera, since on that afternoon he was overwhelmed. I gave him a few tips and went right at it

Isn’t it so true, the camera is a new way to meet so many interesting people. We’re all equal when we have our cameras in hand. Sounds as if you had a great day Phil….Jules

It was really pleasant. We wandered around the farmer’s market some times him pointing to shots, sometimes me.

My best pictures come from those walks with like minded people:)! Time to slow down, watch the world go by, relax, get into the zone…Way cool!
