When in Portofino, Italy, on the Liguorian coast, there is a beautiful fortress overlooking the scene below, called Brown’s Castle that you must visit. Depending on which direction you look from there, you might see the sea, or the marina and harbor of Portofino, or this scene of a pastoral hillside with olive trees.

Just a retired old guy who loves looking for an eclectic mix of subjects to photograph, from people, to places, to concepts, and enjoys all aspects of the hunt, the find, and the shot, plus dabbling in the post production.

Beautiful vegetation. Missed this one Phil, gives reason to return :-)))…Jules

  • jules,
who needs a reason to go to Portofino, but here’s one! The long uphill climb to Brown’s is worth the 360 view alone

Beautiful shot, Phil – I like the way the trees go up the hill

  • Those trees are classic Italy, Lombardy Poplars, and are everywhere.
