At poolside of the Casa Dorado in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, overlooking the Sea of Cortez, this brilliantly colorful scene greeted an afternoon convention lunch crowd, we pool goers got relegated to the beach.

Just a retired old guy who loves looking for an eclectic mix of subjects to photograph, from people, to places, to concepts, and enjoys all aspects of the hunt, the find, and the shot, plus dabbling in the post production.

Of course the beach is much better than a stupid pool… ;) great shot, lovely patterns and colors!

  • thanks marjolein, but oh the sand in everything, and then there’s the salt water residue on your body, and oh, too, it’s so far from the bar….the list of unimaginable inconveniences goes on and on!

Thanks for showing us this interesting scene, they look like cakes or lollies, very festive, can’t say that I would choose it myself, but it is really great and original to see, you should put it in a bridal magazine as an interest story or something, or a tourist magazine, see how you go, it is different enough to give it a go I think.

  • i appreciate you stopping by, Marilyn, and for suggesting these ideas. Thanks for all that! Like you, I wouldn’t pick this melange of colors for a party of mine, but hey, different strokes……

This is such a good shot! Love the colours and the ‘pattern’ created. The hotel staff really went wild with this colour scheme!! V.

  • that they did V!! Almost over the top, but the Mexicans really love their flashy color schemes and go for it on these occasions. Thanks for stopping by.
