As in most parts of Italy, the Sicilians actively use their shutters to keep the sun out, cool the house, have privacy, and sleep with low levels of sound entering the house. To boot, they often are colorful and light up an otherwise plain wall.
Just a retired old guy who loves looking for an eclectic mix of subjects to photograph, from people, to places, to concepts, and enjoys all aspects of the hunt, the find, and the shot, plus dabbling in the post production.
