On a brightly painted wall in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, this Mayan symbol crest was embedded in the stucco.

    …and a pretty hefty piece, too! Do you doubt it is a true artifact or perhaps they are cast concrete for construction? I guess that would depend upon how common they are. :-)

    not clear that it’s an artifact of value, but very clear of it traditional root source. These are commonly seen and may, to your point, be commercialized, yet redolent of history
