Maori Sculptured Wood Carving by

In Rotorua, North Island, New Zealand, the Maori Cultural Center trains young people in the history and traditions of wood carvings handed down through the generations. This rather large piece stands outside the entrance to the craft training center as motivation for what is possible

Just a retired old guy who loves looking for an eclectic mix of subjects to photograph, from people, to places, to concepts, and enjoys all aspects of the hunt, the find, and the shot, plus dabbling in the post production.

“No great artist ever sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artist”
Oscar Wilde
