Abandoned

I snapped this shot from the Amtrak train riding through New York City and the burroughs while on the way to Connecticut. I thought for the longest time that it was an abandoned barge. Still thought it was pretty cool.

While watching the History Channel’s Life After People I found out what it really was. It is/was the loading dock for the now defunct Riverside Hospital, located on North Brother Island, not far from Rikers Island. Did a little post-processing with a texture and some burning and this is the result.
