Awe, this picture I caught tonight has been one of my many dream pictures come true. Our entire valley is surrounded by wild fires caused from the heat, the drought, and lightning in 100 plus degree weather. Is sad as that is, the smoke does make for fantastic images of the sunset and sunrise…… This image will bring pleasant dreams for me,…. it is my definition of serenity~!

Photography is the only way to capture “time in a bottle” and the everlasting scent of the moment.

Isn’t it funny how you captured serenity in the chaos! What an amazing world.
This is another image with the WOW factor, it’s just so glorious.

  • Oh Maree, thank you so much…. It is amazing to find serenity in the chaos, but what better way to find good out of devastation than taking advantage of the hues that change because of the smoke all around. My husband is fascinated with this image because he can see the sun. He says “wow, its reverse, the sun is white and the sky is colored, usually its the other way around.” I replied because its the smoke in the sky that does that….. It was a sweet moment for me~!

Beautiful capture with the silhouetted leaves Brenda … what a pity bout the fires … hope it cools down and you get some rain soon!

  • Good Morning Susie
Unfortunately the fires took a huge turn for the worst last night. The glow from the fire lit my back yard. It was about 20 miles from my backyard. Since 10:30 last night the fire has rolled down the hills and is now very close to all the natural gas lines that are hidden throughout the farm land……I was out this morning grabbing pictures of the sunrise….. Those image are soon to come…..
