I took this photo last night (2/21/2012) while we were at the mall for a couple of hours. I had to go get the children from basketball and cheer leading practice. Of course I had to stop in the parking lot to capture what I have wanted to capture ALL WINTER LONG. It is now almost March and we are finally getting snow. I hope this one is liked even though everyone else in the world seems to be getting Spring already~!

In Canada yet where it’s winter for 6 months of the year, lol. Well not this year, we finally got snow that counts.

So sorry for the delay in replying to you, I have been under the weather lately. By your description of the weather where you are, it perfectly defines the weather here in Idaho. We have like 8 Winter months and 4 summer/spring months. This year has been a very sad dry year. I really hope this does not effect our farming season this year. Our business/agriculture owners rely on the snow for crops, God forbid we get a drought ! Well I am glad to hear from you and thank you so very much for coming by and leaving a comment. I moved from the North to the South to escape the long winters. If I never see another snowflake it won’t be soon enough. Seeing it in your beautiful photograph isn’t so bad though. Nice shot.

Actually we’re having winter here in Canada now! It has certainly been strange weather; for much of the year whenever it snowed it melted right away. The past week for the first time, it would snow stay for a few days – it would melt not too long after though, and then it would snow again! Snowed a lot yesterday too!
I love the way the snow fall is shown in the image – you don’t even need Photoshop because the streaks of snow already add ‘texture’ to the image :o)

Your description of the winter weather your having where you live is EXACTLY the same as our winter weather here., It surely has not been a normal winter. This is the second most beautiful snowfall we have had this Winter. And like your home, the snow is gone as fast as it came.

This is a great capture Brenda!!!! I LOVE how the action of the snow coming down gives this the effect of a texture being added behind the tree!! STUNNING my friend!!!! How did I miss this one when you posted it? I can’t wait to get back on my “normal” routine around here so that I stop missing your wonderful submissions!! :)
OH and P.S…..make sure you KEEP that there snow you captured so nicely!! hehehehehe We haven’t had much snow this winter and I am HOPING it stays that way LOL :P
