I found this beautiful bunch of wildflowers off the side of the highway going through Oregon. It had just rained, actually I think it had been raining that entire day’s drive. Every time we made a stop somewhere, I always found nature’s treasures of natural beauty everywhere we went. I high contrasted this photo in order to black out the rest of the photo so just the flowers were to show…..I hold our one and only vacation our family has had so far deep in my heart.

I love the editing you have done here to bring out the details in the flowers instead of the busyness of the background!! There is an option within Corel X3 and X4 that I LOVE to use for this…it is Local Tone Mapping…I think is what it is called? Might just be Tone Mapping…I will check and send you a message through here. LOVE daisies and I LOVE this capture!! Wonderful job my friend!!!! :)

  • Good afternoon Melissa,
Thank You soo very much for saying such nice things…I really needed to hear that. I am aware of the local tone mapping. I use it occasionally but not enough. I always end up making colorful pictures with it instead of blacking out the background. I have also found out that I can not black out the background with all my pictures, it just depends on how the pic was set up…..I had fun doing this one.. I took it off the side of the highway going through Oregon in 2009….So glad that you like this one~!

    Gorgeous…..I love the focus!!!

  • Oh thank you for noticing the focus. Funny thing is I had no clue what I was doing back then, and all of my images were luck of the draw….! Now that I know what I want to do with images, I have the hardest time MAKING it happen…Isn’t that funny how things work out~!!!!! This is of the same flowers ~

I do love this one, Daisies are to me the loveliest little flower and always make a good show. Well Done. Shirley
