I created this digital painting using one of my photos of this American Bittern (Botaurus lentiginosus) as the source image. I then painted over it using Corel Paint to create this unique piece. It is of such high quality that it can be printed at even the largest sizes without loss of image quality.
The original photo was taken at Brazos Bend State Park, Needville, Texas near Houston.

I am happily living and enjoying life in the beautiful city of Cuenca, Ecuador, located over 8,000 feet up in the Andes Mountains of South America. Here, I can pursue my passion that is outdoor photography. My wife and I came here from Houston, Texas, where I worked as an information technology manager. I was also a marine biologist for 10 years, so my passion for all things in nature is, well, natural!
