beautiful work,my dad used to make mandolins
Hi Rosina. Thanks. Interesting that your Dad made mandos. Do you have one of his mandos? I’d be really interested to see a picture of one. Thanks again for the comment. Cheers Paul. :-)
here is one that he still plays
Hi again Rosina. Tell your Dad that a mandolin player in Adelaide said hello and Merry Christmas. I play a few instruments, mainly mandolin and guitar, but the mandolin is my main instrument. Great to see that your Dad is still playing and it looks a fine mandolin. I’d like to hear it one day. Cheers Paul. :-)
nice one Paul i learnt guitar as a child but was only ok, my brother is the proffesional guitarist muso in our family.
Hi again Lois, I started playing 5-string banjo when I was 14, similar to the one in the Banjo CalendarStarted on guitar soon after that, but I fell in love with the mandolin and finally got one when I was about 20 years old and it has been my main instrument since. I mainly play Bluegrass and Country music but blues, jazz and country-rock in the past.
Mainly play with my buddy Dave Taylor now, though stand in with other bands. Taylor & Thompson
Say hi to your brother from me. Cheers Paul.
i love blues and jazz and rock not a big country fan. My brother went over to the country side and is good freinds with Casey Chambers.
Yes, I like jazz and blues too, but not a big fan of the loud brassy jazz. Most of the country music I am involved with is more bluegrass and folk oriented. David and I do a lot of stuff like Gordon Lightfoot and Everly Brothers harmonies as well. All good fun. Cheers & Merry Christmas. Paul x
ps. Also noticed from your RB page you have a 50D. Just got one. Are you happy with it? Mine seems to be working very well.
