Haiku(V): Little ladybird

Red/yellow flower,
With green leaves; all along which
The Ladybird climbs.

I usually can’t stand seeing insects; but, there are two exceptions to my usual rule, namely…

1) The Butterfly

2) The Ladybird

…because both of these small creatures are ever so beautiful.

I realise that this poem could be construed as being far too plain and simple; in that there is very little use of contrast/tension; therefore, in some sense, it may appear really weak.

However, I woke up thinking to myself of how to use 3 colours: Red/Yellow/Green to form a Ladybird poem; so, as far as I’m concerned it works; as well as, appealing to my own very deep seated love of ‘nature’; by just making one feel slightly more aware through the very simple process of merely noticing things…!

butterfly, fear, japanese, ladybird, haiku, insects, creepy crawlies
