Artist's Description

I have a fear of spiders, called, arachnophobia!

What happened was when I was a very young kid; a spider did walk…totally unnoticed by me…into my shoe; and, so I put the shoe on, and, walked straight off to school; feeling an uncomfortable stone like feeling being inside of my shoe which wouldn’t stop bugging me; so, I went and put my arm up begging the teacher to please let me to go visit the toilets; when I got there, I took off my shoe; and, much to my total shock and horror a HUGE DADDY LONG LEGS spider came very quickly running out!

From ever since that day, whenever I go to put on my shoes, now; I try knocking the back of the shoe really hard down against the floor, first; then, I place my hand in there just to be sure the shoe is completely empty; before I ever go and place it on my foot.
