3 x Abstract Female Heads -(050314)- Digital artwork/MS Paint by

DATE/TIME: Wed 5th March 2014 09:33 AM GMT
MEDIUM: Digital artwork/MS Paint, Laptop computer/Touchpad drawing
LOCATION: Home, London/UK
DESCRIPTION: 3 x Abstract Female Heads

As soon as I awoke; one of the very first things I saw when rising my head up off the pillow was…the ladder, which at the moment, is located next to the bedroom window; and, on top of the ladder there was some clothes being seen hanging down off it.

Suddenly, instead of clothes…I started seeing an ‘abstract’ series of patterns/shapes all coming together to form a ‘female head’; so, without getting up out of bed; I just reached for my computer laptop, and, immediately, started drawing the shapes that I saw.

The back of the head…the hair…is actually a trousers leg hanging down off the back of the ladder’s top rung. The front of the head going from the nose upwards is the rest of the trousers (the nose is actually the trousers waist) hanging down from off the front of the ladder. The lips/chin, is some other clothes hanging off the ladder at a lower front rung. The neck part, is some further clothes hanging down from off the ladders even lower front rung.

Frankly, my copying skills are none too strong; I also have short-sight, as well; nor is it too easy to draw using a laptop computer touchpad together with your index finger; therefore, because I could not get an ‘exact’ match…; thus, I decided to improvise, compose/invent.

Going from left to right…

In the first drawing, the green straight lines you see going downwards from top to bottom are actually the ladder itself. However, I did not chose to include the ladder in my other 2 drawings. I had just seen a picture of mother Theresa wearing a blue headdress. So, I decided to go colour in the top part blue.

In the second drawing, I decided to use a paper ‘cut out’ sort of style.

In the 3rd drawing, I wanted to build a sort of standing sculpture; which used decorative lines. With a handle on top. I also decided to add a tongue going in between both lips.

Gee….you seem to have put up about 30 or more new works since last time I visited. I’m always delighted to see what you come up with next.

  • LOL Well, whenever I go to see your gallery…I really have no idea what YOU are about to come up with, next, neither. Maybe, that’s the common bond between us…that we both LOVE to ‘experiment’; as well as, are strong supporters of Peace. ;-)

  • The first head your see here on the left; was ‘inspired’ by my going to visit your gallery…and, seeing the picture of Mother Theresa holding a child…she was wearing a ‘blue’ headband.
