MEDIUM: A5 sketchbook/Blue biro pen
DESCRIPTION: Copied internet photo of Picasso’s head; most unfortunately, I didn’t quite get the top part of the skull, right; and, had to re-try making that line, again and again. With pencil, of course, you can rub out any such mistakes; but, never with indelible pen/ink; so, therefore, I had no other choice but to go leave all of the mistakes still in.
I wish to learn the art of how to draw portraiture. So, part of my learning strategy is to both practice doing ‘self-portraits’; and, also, practice drawing famous artists heads whose work I admire, respect and appreciate; because these artists are already famous; therefore, the test is can you instantly see/recognize exactly who they are??? It not; then, that just means I did a ‘bad’ drawing!!!
Picasso, the man who once said, “I never seek…; I find!”; and, indeed, through his art works could ‘prove’ it. I really and truly respect, and, admire him; because, frankly, I’m the exact opposite…always seeking/just never quite finding…???
