DESCRIPTION: My little black english domestic short hair kitten was lying around on the bed; with it’s back turned towards me; and, as I already had The Scribbler computer program open inside of my web browser; therefore, I was ‘tempted’ to do a cat drawing…
At first, I thought to myself, no; this drawing is far too simple; I need to add more fur/details/etc. But, then, on 2nd thoughts, I decided I really quite like it exactly as it is; without having loads of unnecessary detail; thus, I decided to keep it by saving it to my laptop computer.
Next, once the drawing had already been saved; I opened it up inside of Windows MS Paint program; and, added in there both a signature/date.
SIMPLICITY, SOMETIMES, BEING MY ULTIMATE GOAL
Sometimes, I really like to draw quite as simple as is possible. I love the fact that a whole object/scene can be captured in no more than just a few strokes.
This is one of the reasons that one of my fav. artists of all time is Feliks Topolski; who is a ‘master’ of the real quick sketch. I recall speaking to his daughter, once; who runs his gallery outside of Waterloo Tube Station; she said, they’d be in a car; and, he’d be sketching…; and, by the time they had reached the end of the street; he had already gone and captured the whole entire scene…including buildings/people/cars/etc! I mean, WOW! What an AMAZING artist that guy was; and, for me, personally, still is…as whenever I am in that particular area of London; I really can’t resist going and seeing his truly wonderful artworks; which I would very highly recommend for anybody else to go and see for themselves, too; I promise you will come away being totally impressed. ;-)

FAMOUS CAT ARTIST: THEOPHILE-ALEXANDER PIERRE STEINLEN
Recently, I hopped over to my fav. search engine…
…and, there typed in search words: ‘cat drawings’; which is how I came across the work of Steinlen. Wow! He can really and truly draw cats most utterly brilliantly. An artist well worth noting down; please, go and see his work, too; because I guarantee that you will most thoroughly ENJOY looking at it! ;-)
