The door of the 13c hospital in Capestang Southern France, long standing abandoned in the centre of the village. It has been the subject of many projects, including a hotel, none of which have come to fruition. In its day it was not only a hospital but also offered accommodation to pilgrims on the route to St Jacques de Compostelo in Spain. Canon Ixus 220 1/640 sec f2.8.     This facade is wonderfully “distressed.” (Facade IS a French word, after all! LOL! This building looks to me as though it was standing during the French Revolution. Are those bullet holes? This is a terrific look into history, Paul! Well DONE!!
