Great shot! Is it me, or does it appear as though storms have become increasingly more violent. We had one 2 weeks ago with winds over 70 mph and the next morning it looked like we had been through a hurricane. Sort of scary.

  • I think it’s a complicated one.. I think the weather patterns have “moved” geographic locations.. and that people have started living in areas that were previously uninhabited.. I also think that any severe weather pattern is now much more televised & broadcast, so there is greater knowledge of them than previous decades..

Oh my gosh – this is amazing Paul – I could not believe how the sky changed colour that warm tropical night. If you look up my pics you’ll see the sunset shot I downloaded! Hope all ok your way. Thankgod we were ok in the hills, we were flooded out two years ago

  • We were fine, no damage at all, some of my friends didn’t fare so well though.

    Nicely captured!

I managed to get a few shots of a rainbow (possibly that one) just before sunset as the storm cleared over where I live, but not as good as this shot! Well done.

  • Thanks :) I was at my parents place for dinner and stepped outside was like “quick grab my camera”.. very happy I had it with me. This shot and my lightning over Perth shot were featured in The West Australian today.. very happy :)
