Twitter and Website Update
Hey All,
Well I’ve given in to the temptation called twitter.. and I have to say I am absolutely hooked on it.. I’ve already made a few sales through it.. and I only have 348 people following me.. lol

In other news, I’ve been working on a new design for http://paulmp.com.au, just wondering if people can visit it and give me some feedback.. I know it doesn’t work properly in Internet Explorer, I’m still working on the compatibility code for IE.. it tests fine in Firefox and Chrome though.

HI Paul, had a look at your website, on the bottom you have two Home tabs. I find the square which starts with Hey All distracts from your images. Could you have an about/bio page and a smaller image beside it?

Thanks for the feedback, I’ve fixed up the double home tabs. I’m still playing around with the text square over the top… I’m thinking maybe an AJAX solution where you can minimise the box or something like that..
Once I’ve ironed out the bugs, all the pages will have the same type of background with the text overlay..
So you think maybe I should get rid of the text on the front page and just have an about / bio type page on another page.. I’ll have a play with that idea.. see what I think..

How are you getting sales from your twitter? I have been trying to promote myself there, but am yet to succeed. Any hints?

Well you have to contribute regularly with something worthwhile.. other wise people don’t bother following.. and then when you add new art work.. they are genuinely interested in it.. where as if all you do is spam people with links to your work.. they tend to ignore you.

Your site looks interesting. Suggest you test re-sizing of browser window to see how top navigation is effected. Should also check how it appears on a Apple iPhone or Blackberry. Otherwise, I love the colour choices.
