Cambodian Documentary

Posted 7 months ago

I have been given the opportunity to travel to Cambodia and visit several orphanages and a clinic. While there I will be producing a documentary of what the orphans are facing and conditions in Cambodia. I have never been to Cambodia before, but I did travel through Papua New Guinea in 2008 and produced a small documentary video while there. A fellow photographer who has been to Cambodia has kind…

March Update

Posted 11 months ago

Hey All,
Well things are just really picking up pace for me with the studio, we recently bought our own studio lights, so we’re not hiring them for every job now.. we’re still looking around for a suitable commercial property to move into.. until then we’re operating out of our garage.. which is actually a lot of fun.

My most recent toy has been a Canon large format photo printer…

Movember!

Posted over 1 year ago

Hey All,

Each year Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in Australia and around the world, with the sole aim of raising vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men.

I’m going to be participating in Movember again this year.. and again, 10% from all my sales on Redbubble will be donated to the M…

Hey There, Bec and I are in the process of planning a 2-3 week get away, we’re hiring a camper trailer (any recommendations on companies please?), packing up the Subaru and heading north! The planning process includes finding the best deal we can for a fully kitted out off road camper trailer, we’ve got a few options at the moment, but we’ll go with the one who has a combination…

Studio Frustrations and Photography Workshops

Posted almost 2 years ago

Hey All,

I know it’s been quite a while between updates.. It’s been a pretty busy year already with 2 trips to Geraldton and 2 trips down south (Balingup, Mullalyup, Busselton, Margaret River). Things are moving along fairly slowly at the moment with my new studio, Blaque Studios (http://blaquestudios.com.au), I’ve been accepted into the governments New Enterprise Incentive Sche…

New Studio & Other news

Posted about 2 years ago

Hey All,

Well an awful lot has happened since my last journal, in my last journal I had just been made redundant and was looking at going full time into photography. Well since then I have definitely gone full time in to photography, with some web design jobs on the side to keep the rent paid and food on the table.

The new studio I’ve started has taken off well, we’re in the process o…

Photography & Updates

Posted over 2 years ago

Hey All,

Well on Wednesday I got a bit of a shock and was made redundant in my job.. got to love the “GFC” as everyone is calling it. Anyway, I’ve decided I have had enough of being at the mercy of the corporate world and I’m going to give full time photography my best shot (pun intended), mainly focusing (there I go again) on weddings and portraits, but I’m also goi…

Hey All,

Well much later today I should be taking delivery of a brand new Canon EOS 5DmkII with a bunch of new toys to go with it, like a battery grip, 580ex flash, 16-35mm f2.8L lense and a few others.

I’m really looking forward to getting out and shooting with it again. To top it all off, we’re getting our Subaru Forester XT tomorrow as well! So we’ll be out and about in our n…
