Mullewa Ruins

An old farmhouse lies in ruins as the harsh elements of the Australian environment slowly destroy it.

Canon EOS 5DmkII, 16-35mm, Cokin ND8-Grad
Taken at dusk during a photography workshop I was holding in Mullewa

No post processing, straight out of the camera to jpg.

Love this!! Let me loose out there, please!!! I miss living in the bush!! Is that the old tv antenna there? That was a great job, wasn’t it, replacing the chewed up wires (courtesy of galahs and cockys) – a bit like Tiiimmmmmmmbbbbeeerrrrrrr!! :)))

Actually I think it was an old electricity pole, I don’t think they had TV when this was built.. lol. It’s a great place.

(heheheheh! well, yes, that makes sense!!! Derrrr Vicki! Do you remember those old tv towers that I am talking about?!! They are really great for people who aren’t scared of heights or who aren’t married to a stirrer, not naming any names, of course!!!) lol!!

  • Paul Pichugin replied 26 days ago

Yes I know the towers you are talking about.. unfortunately I have this thing with heights.. everytime I think I’m over it.. I realise I’m not.. haha.

I love how your composition gives the sky domination
    – giving it a quality of vast, looming broodiness.
    Fantastic light and colour!
