I have to give this one to the Victorians as it was shot just over the border from Nelson.
It was an unusual evening as a the sun set, there was a blood red light which later turned to a strong pink light and the clouds were moving fast and very dark and very light in places.
But a word of warning to all photographers about clouds that look like that. If you could imagine your self standing on top of a sand dune, and as far as you can see, you are the highest thing with a big metal tripod. Then with out warning there is a bright flash in the sky and a second or two later, directly above you is a very loud clap of thunder, well that was me and I can laugh about it now.
