The sun rises behind the Louvre and the Triumphal Arch of the Carousel in Paris. One of two Romanesque arches built by Napoleon, it separates the Louvre and the gardens of Tuileries, was dedicated in 1808, and is topped with the goddess Victory and four horses. This is one of a series of architectural paintings by the artist of museums and monuments in Paris.

Beautiful Paul. Stunning piece of work. Love the play of light and attention to fine detail. .
Awesome! The contrast of the arch against the soft background gives it such depth! You are a master.
